« A few months ago, I set out to speak with as many successful coaches to learn from their journey to building a successful coaching practice. My criteria were that the coach had been in business for 5+ years (preferably 10+ years), with values I admire, doing work I find interesting and valuable. I wanted to understand what they did that worked, how to avoid pitfalls through their own learning and be inspired to step up my own business development activities (in a focused, productive way).
1) A 2-year plan is ambitious – give it time
2) Have a portfolio of income streams
3) Be clear about why people would hire you as a coach or associate
